Objective: During the Glimmerfall period, when the radiant crystal firmament begins its gradual dimming, two teams face off in a captivating battle of wits and agility. The primary goal is to maneuver the luminous Starball through the opponent’s goalpost, navigating a field filled with magical challenges that test their strategic thinking and magical skills.

Gameplay Experience:
Starstrike is more than just a sport; it’s a celebration of the enchanting capabilities of Emberforge’s students. Played in an arena simulating the phases of the upper realm moon, each quarter of the game introduces new magickal elements and obstacles, from floating platforms to shifting terrains. Players must adapt to these changes, using their magickal and physical abilities to outsmart their opponents and secure victory.

Key Elements

Teams and Their Roles: Each team, adorned in their house colors, is composed of seven players assuming specific roles, including the Starstriker (the captain), the Star Guardian (who defends the goalposts), two Starcatchers (defense, supporting the Star Guardian), and three Stargazers (offense, supporting the Starstriker).

Scoring and Points: Innovative and skillful gameplay is highly rewarded in Starstrike, encouraging players to execute elaborate maneuvers for higher points.

Enchanted Obstacles and Moonlight Quarters: The field features shifting magical obstacles that players must navigate, adding layers of strategy and unpredictability to the game.

Moonstruck Moment: During this critical phase, which happens when a Star Guardian saves the Starball from entering his/her goal three times in a row, the Starball gains extra powers, and scoring can earn significant bonus points, heightening the competitive thrill.

House Teams vs. Professional Teams: While each house has its own team, fostering intense intra-school rivalry and pride, Emberforge also boasts the professional team, the Emberstars, composed of distinguished alumni. These seasoned players bring expertise and excitement, elevating the game to professional levels.
