Felix Valorcrest

Felix Valorcrest, son of our very own Professor Thornwood of Veriduna and cherished member of the Umbra Noctis House, stands as a testament to courage and sacrifice amidst the annals of Emberforge University's history. Felix embodied bravery, compassion and wisdom that illuminated even the darkest corners of this realm.

In the fateful year of 2878 PA (2004 AD), Septaema faced a grave threat from the malevolent forces of Malzorath, who sought to wield the Orb of Knowledge, housed in Emberforge's Grand Arcanum Vault, for nefarious ends. Armed with his mastery of the dark arts, Felix stood steadfast against the encroaching shadows. When Malzorath unleashed his unholy legions upon the realm, it was Felix who, with unwavering resolve, invoked the ancient Aetherius Nexus Seal — an arcane ritual of immense power and sacrifice.

The Aetherius Nexus Seal, requiring a willing soul and boundless courage, ensnared Malzorath and banished him deep into the abyssal realms of the Onyxveil. This selfless act not only preserved Septaema but also echoed throughout the realms as a testament to Felix's valor and devotion. Posthumously hailed as Valorcrest, his name became synonymous with bravery and honor, inspiring generations to come.

Beyond his prowess in magick and his deeds of heroism, Felix was known for his kindness and gentle spirit. He fostered friendships that spanned across all houses of the University, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. His affinity for the Upper Realms, where stars gleam brightly in the firmament, ignited a passion within him that resonated deeply with his peers and mentors alike.

In recognition of his dreams and his ultimate sacrifice, Headmaster Gravemore immortalized Felix's legacy by amending the university motto to "Ad Astra Per Magiam" ("To The Stars Through Magick"). An inverted pentagram, The Star of Valorcrest, was added to the school emblem, symbolizing Felix Valorcrest’s enduring radiance and the eternal hope he embodied for all who seek knowledge and light in the realms beyond.
